Pointer Marathon (and Power Magnum)

In the Finland the new 138 MHz:n frequency was taken in to use several years ago. Because of the low frequency it fits well to dog tracking. In addition to that the high 150 mW:n transmit power can be used. The operating radius is very long because of the low frequency and high power.

The low frequency sets high requirements for the receivers’ antenna technology. The high operating radius and exact bearing requires good antennas. In the Pointer Marathon the antennas do not have compromises and so its operating distance and bearing are very good.
