Several ways to track the dog

There are several ways to track the dog with the Dog-GPS. You can choose the way according to the situation. When the location information arrives from the Dog device, it will immediately be shown on the screen of the hunter’s navigator.

All of the alternatives are available in the Pointer-menu of the navigator. The alternatives are described below:

Request update

This function requests the location of the dog. The dog transmitter replies with the location information and several other data (look at the dog position display).

By pressing the quick button for 2 seconds on any of the basic screens (Pointer, GSM, map, guide, position, movement and dog position display) you automatically search for the dog’s position again.

Request tracking
(automatic delivery of the dog’s location)

When you choose the Request tracking – menu, you can choose how often and how many times the dog’s location should be updated. Afterwards the dog’s transmitter automatically transmits the information and it is shown as in the request update function.

The programme now tells you directly what update came and what number it was, e.g.: Tracking update received 4/9.

Request area tracking

If you’d like to have an alarm on the dog’s motions, you can use the request area tracking function. With this function you can place a ‘circle’ around the dog. If the dog wanders outside the circle, the transmitter automatically sends an alarm. This is an excellent help for instance with tenacious hunting dogs.

The programme now tells you directly what update came and what number it was, e.g.: Area tracking update received 7.

More about tracing

All the modes of tracing can be on simultaneously. Therefore you can request update even if you have already requested tracking.

One dog can be followed by an unlimited amount of hunters and with one Dog-GPS navigator it is possible to follow 30 dogs simultaneously.

More new in the Pointer menu

When you go to the Pointer menu, the programme remembers from what dog an update was requested the last time and chooses that dog as a default. This speeds up the use if several dogs have been programmed into the device.
